Want to go to the YGT Finale in Las Vegas?
Well now you can! Takomo Golf is giving fans a chance to win a trip to the Wynn Las Vegas for the final event of YGT’s first season, part of a prize which boasts a total value of just under $5,000 USD.
What can I win??
The prize centers on the YGT Final Event, which is set to take place at The Wynn in Las Vegas on November 4-5. The winner and a guest will receive round-trip coach airfare from a major airport near their home, two nights at The Wynn, meals and drinks covered during official event windows, and all-access passes to the event itself.
But that’s not all. The winner will also take home a full set of custom-fitted Takomo clubs, covering irons, wedges, woods, a putter and a bag. Takomo, of course, have made a name for themselves in recent years as a high-quality but more affordable brand of clubs, with plenty of prominent content creators – including the founders of YGT in the Bryan Bros and Grant Horvat – among their most prominent influencers.
Prize pool
- Round-trip coach airfare to Las Vegas (for two)
- Two nights at the Wynn (meals and drinks included during event window)
- Access to the final YGT event at the Wynn (for two)
- Full set of custom-fitted Takomo clubs
How do I sign up?
If that tickles your fancy, you can sign up any time from now until October 26. There are a couple of ways to get involved.
The simplest is making a purchase at Takomo's website using the code YGT, which earns one sweepstakes entry for every $100 spent, including tax and shipping. So a $300 order, for example, would net three entries.
If you don’t want to buy anything you can still enter the sweepstakes, though it might as well involve stepping back in a time machine. To enter for free, all you need is a 3x5 card or postcard and a nice pen – pop down your first and last name, complete mailing address, email address, phone number and date of birth, and send it to the following address:
Takomo Golf,
Attn: YGT Final Event Sweepstakes Entry
106 E Ovilla Rd Suite 1A-363, Red Oak, Tx 75154 5
Regardless of which method is used, entrants are capped at ten entries total across both routes, so you can’t go sending them thousands of cards and expecting to win. To be eligible to win, you also need to be a US resident who has reached the age of majority in their home state, which is 18 in most states and 19 in Alabama and Nebraska.
When will the winner be announced?
Takomo plans to announce the winner on its social media channels on October 30, just days before the final event itself, with the selected entrant also contacted directly by email. As with most sweepstakes of this kind, there are standard conditions attached to actually claiming the prize, including identity verification and a background check tied to the private nature of the event.
But isn’t YGT filmed in advance?
Yes, it is. If you’re wondering how exactly this will work given the first two tournaments have been filmed in advance of release and the results withheld, you’re not alone.
Possible options are that it will be streamed live, or that there’ll be something like NDAs involved. Both of these seem unlikely in their own way; streaming live would essentially go against everything that has made YouTube golf and this tour so popular, while trusting the secrecy of the entire event to one random punter also seems like a fairly substantial risk.
Maybe you’ll be held in a cage until it’s released – who knows. But I’m sure they’ve figured it out, and regardless, a trip to Vegas, watch a bit of golf, and a free set of Takomo clubs – sign me up!
