2026 Internet Invitational Location Disclosed… Accidentally?

Big Cedar Lodge appears to have been revealed as the location of the 2026 Internet Invitational by Francis Ellis on his podcast, Son of a Boy Dad, earlier this week.

This is no major surprise given how successful the event was there last year, but I don’t think we’re supposed to know the location just yet – in fact I’m sure we’re not, because the invitations which have been sent out to this year’s Internet Invitational roster have all included a letter which explicitly states (in bold no less!), ‘Please remember the location and dates are strictly confidential’.

This is not a particularly ambiguous request, but either he’s not a very astute reader or the rule does not appear to have applied to Francis Ellis, one of the inaugural winners of the Internet Invitational alongside Brad Dalke and the late Cody ‘Beef’ Franke. While discussing this year’s event on Son of a Boy Dad, Ellis was asked outright where it would be held, but with as little regard for the element of mystery the organisers are trying to create as Malosi has for the rules, he promptly confirmed: “It’s at Big Cedar again. Same place.”

Potentially not the grand reveal that Barstool and Bob Does Sports were hoping for, but a reveal all the same. While it’s not an official announcement, it’s safe to assume Francis knows what he’s talking about and did not appear to be lacking any certainty in his response.

Big Cedar Lodge, in the Ozarks, proved to be a great location for the event last year, with the six rounds of competition taking place across three courses. The first was Payne’s Valley – which has been ranked among the top 100 public access courses in the world – the next was Buffalo Ridge – ranked among the top 100 public access courses in the USA – while we also got a glimpse at the Par-3 course Cliffhangers, which looks more like it belongs on a PlayStation game than a real-life golf course.

The lodge also has three other courses – a full 18 holes at Ozark’s National Golf Course, and a pair of shortened par-3 courses in Top of the Rock and Mountain Top Course – so they do have the capacity to switch things up if they don’t want to play the exact same three courses as last year. Complete with a beautiful clubhouse that looks like it belongs at a ski lodge and which played host to many of last year’s most controversial encounters, Big Cedar Lodge ticks every box required for the event, and it’s not surprising that they appear set to head back there this year.
