The Q at Myrtle Beach: A Clue to Your Golf Tour's Roster?
Now in its third year, The Q at Myrtle Beach has quietly become one of the most interesting events in the YouTube Golf calendar, and the 2026 edition may offer the clearest signal yet about who'll be stepping onto the fairways of the Grant Horvat/Bryan Bros-led Your Golf Tour.
For the uninitiated: The Q at Myrtle Beach is a qualifying event staged in the lead-up to the PGA TOUR's ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, the winner of which earns an outright exemption into the tournament. Past years have included eight YouTube Golf content creators as well as eight aspiring professionals, with Korn Ferry Tour veteran Matt Atkins winning in 2024 and South Carolina collegiate standout Nathan Franks winning the next year.
But the 2026 edition of the qualifying event is a little different. For the first time, the field is made up entirely of YouTube creators. The eight-man lineup includes George Bryan IV, Grant Horvat, Peter Finch, Luke Kwon, Sam Heung Min, Micah Morris, Ryan Ruffels, and Chance Taylor.
Perhaps more telling than the format change, though, is who's now involved behind the camera. Previous editions aired solely on the Play Golf Myrtle Beach YouTube channel. This year, the event is being produced in partnership with Horvat and the Bryan Bros themselves, with Round 1 dropping on Horvat's channel and the finale airing on Bryan Bros Golf – giving both creators significant editorial and promotional skin in the game.
This brings us to an obvious question: could The Q be the first major hint as to who we might be seeing on Your Golf Tour? While there's no official confirmation of a direct link, the circumstantial case is hard to ignore.
A quick recap for anyone who’s unaware: Announced in late March, Your Golf Tour is an initiative led by Horvat and the Bryan Bros which will see 16 YouTube Golfers compete across four tournaments with a million-dollar prize pool on its line. Its creators have been tight-lipped about many details of the tour, but have been clear that a major focus of the YGT is on the quality of the field. This isn't intended to be a celebrity scramble; they want high-quality, competitive golf that can stand alongside professional content.
If that's the bar, then the creators assembled for The Q's 2026 edition would clear it comfortably. Peter Finch has competed in the event every year and is one of the most technically accomplished players in the YouTube space. Ryan Ruffels is a bonafide professional with PGA TOUR starts to his name. Kwon and Sam Heung Min together put out some of the best quality golf on YouTube, Micah Morris hits it as well as anyone, while lesser-known Chance Taylor has no shortage of ability.
We already know that Grant and George will be a part of the Your Golf Tour alongside Wesley, leaving 13 spots to fill. Whether all six of the others end up on a YGT roster remains to be seen. But given the overlap in people, philosophy, and purpose, it would be surprising if there wasn't significant crossover.
Over the past few years, The Q at Myrtle Beach has served as an entertaining bridge between YouTube Golf and the professional realm. In 2026, it may double as the clearest preview yet of what Your Golf Tour is going to look like.
The first round of the Q at Myrtle Beach aired on April 27 on Grant Horvat’s channel. You can watch the second and deciding round on April 30 on the Bryan Bros channel, or check back here for the results.
